As a former actress, Meghan Markle is no stranger to magazine photoshoots. But since marrying Prince Harry and becoming part of the royal family, she's had to leave that aspect of her life behind.
According to new reports, however, she's not completely abandoned all things ~media~. Because the Duchess of Sussex has apparently agreed to guest edit the September issue of British Vogue. And if the rumours are correct, her temporary editorship will even include a photoshoot inside Frogmore Cottage, the family home in Windsor she shares with Prince Harry and baby Archie Mountbatten-Windsor .
reported sources had told them Meghan will be taking over the renowned fashion publication's most important issue of the year. September has historically been the 'landmark' issue annually, being the biggest, the most influential and the one that sells the most copies.
Under Meghan Markle's control, the issue will reportedly be filled with a "selection of female change-makers" who will "write their own personal essays", which would make sense considering how passionately the Duchess feels about empowering women.
Us Weekly reports the magazine will also contain exclusive images of Meghan inside her own home. And if this is the case, it'll be groundbreaking in its own right, being the first time the public has been allowed to see inside the property.
Frogmore Cottage underwent extensive renovation earlier this year, turning it from a series of individual staff residences to one open family home with enough space for Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland , to come and stay. While images of the outside of the house are readily available, nobody has ever seen the interior. And oh my god how much do you want to see the interior?
Plus, a photoshoot at Meghan's family home might just mean photos of her family, right? So we may have a series of adorable brand new Archie pictures on our hands, which I'm sure the public would be very okay with.
Considering the way magazines work, publishing an issue one month in advance of its corresponding month, we won't have long to wait to see what Meghan's cooked up if she is taking over British Vogue. You can expect the issue to hit newsstands early August, which means there's less than two months to wait before we can (hopefully) feast our eyes on the Sussexes' dreamy lives. What wonderful summer reading that would be.
